WHAT'S NEW??

Parts of this page were written in the beginning of 2022. I just came in here to edit it and re-write a lot of it. But as I was reading what I wrote back then, it seemed kind of current, so I'm just going to leave it here cause I like it. And what is outdated.... I'll delete. Ta-Da!....
----------------
Okay, so... this is the first time I've updated this "front page" area in about a year. The last time I updated it, I was talking about how wrong I was to think 2021 was going to be so much better than 2020.

But NOW... yeah... now.... 2022 is going to be SO much better. Except for.... well... check out the following description...
A dystopian world of dying oceans and year-round humidity, due to the greenhouse effect, resulting in pollution, poverty, overpopulation, euthanasia and depleted resources. The cumulative effects of overpopulation, pollution and an apparent climate catastrophe have caused severe worldwide shortages of food, water and housing. There are millions of people in New York City alone, where only the city's elite can afford spacious apartments, clean water and natural food (at horrendously high prices). .... Sounds pretty bad, right? Except.... this is a description of a movie, "Soylent Green" that was made almost 60 years ago... and the time period in which the movie takes place..... 2022! Of course, that's not even the worst part, but you'll have to watch the movie to figure that part out.  (Insert an imaginary eye roll emoji).

Anyway... through all this crud that's taken place over the last 2 or 3-ish years.... every single day has had good things happen in it. A child's laughter, a chance to give a compliment, a momentary laugh between strangers, the smell of a flower, fresh cut grass, or freshly baked bread, catching up with an old friend, or maybe even just catching a movie on TV you ended up liking. Every single day, there are moments like that. and it's our choice to notice them. It's our choice to consciously be grateful for each of them. We can't control most or all of what happens around us. But we can control how we perceive it, and how we react to it, and how we notice not just the crud, but the good things too.

My wish for you is that you notice the good things too, and find gratitude for all of them.

I haven't been able to paint as much as I'd like to over the past couple years. I just need to get to bed a bit earlier so I can be more productive during the days. But I have created some paintings I really am proud of, and I've added an entirely new page to my Gallery. Go check out the "Abandoned Art" section. I have this thing about abandoning art in a variety of places for other people to find. I've abandoned painted tiles and painted rocks, and lately, it's been almost all smaller canvas abstract paintings. I abandon those paintings in libraries, supermarkets, parking lots... all over the place. Go check out "Abandoned Art" under the "Gallery" tab, and see where I've been recently.

I'll be adding more jackets soon. It's really just a matter of doing the photography. I wish I could have a really good product photographer just appear, for free, whenever I finish a piece of art.

Oh yeah...my blog! I'll be adding more to that too. I've been working on a lot of poetry and some essays and lyrics. It's just a matter of me finishing them and getting the copyrights done. Oh yeah... and then posting them.

I love you folks, you know that? And I'm really appreciative you come into my site to see my stuff. It's really an honor. Thank you.

The following link is pretty darn cool. It's a newspaper article from the New Haven Independent, written just after I finished a show in late 2018.. Check it out...

New Haven Independent - 3/2018

The link below is a Podcast episode I was recently interviewed for by the wonderful Kaitlyn Casso Creations.  The interview ranges from my philosophies, my Business (I'm also a Financial Advisor and Portfolio Manager), my art, and a community project called The WKOPDIWTB Project. The interview is very cool and I would absolutely love it if you'd take the time to give it a listen.

EPISODE 38: Making a Social Impact Through Positivity with David Chorney - Kaitlyn Casso Creations

Thank you very much for venturing in here and taking a look at my art. It really is an honor and I hope you enjoy what you see.

Please feel free to sign up to be contacted for any notifications I might send out. I usually only send them out if I'm having a show. And if you have any questions... please contact me through the "Contact" link above.

Thank you!

The "Shop" - This is where you bring beauty into your life and others around you. This is where you lift people's spirits, acquire the ability to make people happy, and indirectly perform magic you never dreamed yourself capable of. Buying something from the BoToDo Art & Photography shop is like buying a super power!!! Unfortunately, the shop isn't finished yet. But it will be soon.

The blog' "Inside My Head"" - Go check it out. Lyrics, poetry, essays, Quotes... It's all in there.

"News & Clues" - This is where you can find events I'll be involved in, in the art world.

"Videos" - I've taken to making videos of myself creating some of my paintings. They're all relatively short (3-10 minutes), and pretty enjoyable to watch. This is a fun section to be in.

Most importantly...thank you for being here! I really do appreciate it.
