WHAT'S NEW??

Hi folks!

Welcome to BoToDo Art & Photography. I am David S. Chorney, creator of every piece of art you see on this site. I'll let you be the judge on whether that's good or bad :).

I hope this site can be a little respite from the craziness that is our world around us today. Come on in and look around. You've got paintings and photography to see, you can look at all the smaller paintings I've abandoned around town lately, check out the denim jackets I've painting (wear your art!), and even peruse the blog (Inside My Head) to check out some of my essays, poetry and lyrics.

Whatever you do, my hope is you enjoy the visit, and find the art thought provoking and interesting. Or, as I might say if I wasn't trying to sound so professional... I want you to find the art very cool. :)

I haven't been able to paint as much as I'd like to over the past couple years. Oddly, I've found there to be a mysterious connection between creating art into the wee hours of the night, going to be shortly before having to get up, and being somewhat unproductive in the office the next day. Go figure! So I needed to get to bed a bit earlier and be more productive during the days. But I have created some paintings I really am proud of, and I've added an entirely new page to my Gallery. Go check out the "Abandoned Art" section. I have this thing about abandoning art in a variety of places for other people to find. In the past, I've abandoned painted tiles and painted rocks, but lately, it's been almost all smaller canvas abstract paintings. I abandon those paintings in libraries, supermarkets, parking lots... all over the place. Go check out "Abandoned Art" under the "Gallery" tab, and see where I've been recently.

I'll be adding more jackets soon. It's really just a matter of doing the photography. I wish I could have a really good product photographer just appear, for free, whenever I finish a piece of art.

Oh yeah...my blog! I'll be adding more to that too. I've been working on a lot of poetry and some essays and lyrics. It's just a matter of me finishing them and getting the copyrights done. Oh yeah... and then posting them.

I love you folks, you know that? And I'm really appreciative you coming into my site to see my stuff. It's really an honor. Thank you.

The following link is pretty darn cool. It's a newspaper article from the New Haven Independent, written just after I finished a show in late 2018.. Check it out...

New Haven Independent - 3/2018

The link below is a Podcast episode I was recently interviewed for by the wonderful Kaitlyn Casso Creations.  The interview ranges from my philosophies, my Business (I'm also a Financial Advisor and Portfolio Manager), my art, and a community project called The WKOPDIWTB Project. The interview is very cool and I would absolutely love it if you'd take the time to give it a listen.

One more...
BoToDo Art & Photography, and I, David S. Chorney, are proud sponsors of The WKOPDIWTB Project. This project's mission is to make the world a better place to live, one choice at a time. For anyone who wants to live up to their own higher values, whatever they may happen to be for that person personally, The WKOPDIWTB Project can actually help you guide yourself to do that. Originally, this project was created as my own personal endeavor. It worked so well, and so many people asked me about it, I created a website about it. And believe it or not, the WKOPDIWTB Project is now in 18 states. Go figure. Please check it out if you'd like to find out more.

Thank you very much for venturing in here and taking a look at my art. It really is an honor and I hope you enjoy what you see.

Please feel free to sign up to be contacted for any notifications I might send out. I usually only send them out if I'm having a show. And if you have any questions... please contact me through the "Contact" link above.

Thank you!

The "Shop" - This is where you bring beauty into your life and others around you. This is where you lift people's spirits, acquire the ability to make people happy, and indirectly perform magic you never dreamed yourself capable of. Buying something from the BoToDo Art & Photography shop is like buying a super power!!! Unfortunately, the shop isn't finished yet. But it will be soon.

The blog' "Inside My Head"" - Go check it out. Lyrics, poetry, essays, Quotes... It's all in there.

"News & Clues" - This is where you can find events I'll be involved in, in the art world.

"Videos" - I've taken to making videos of myself creating some of my paintings. They're all relatively short (3-10 minutes), and pretty enjoyable to watch. This is a fun section to be in.

Most importantly...thank you for being here! I really do appreciate it.
